Authenticated by an Oxford Authentication thermoluminescence test, the authenticity of these Han Dynasty artifacts is beyond doubt. Without physical examination, the only remaining concern lies in whether the painted decoration is original, particularly the red pigments on the trousers. Selling at USD 7,560 (approximately HKD 60,000), the price is highly reasonable.
Such artifacts, representing entertainment culture during the Han Dynasty, reflect an emerging collecting trend. The concept of miniatures has gained popularity in recent years due to their portability and ease of appreciation. Younger collectors are increasingly attracted to these smaller pieces. Moreover, Tokyo-based galleries such as Ryusendo and Hirano Kotoken have organized exhibitions featuring Han Dynasty pieces, particularly Ryusendo's major exhibition dedicated to the Han Dynasty in September this year, significantly endorsing the historical importance and market potential of Han Dynasty antiquities.
