一尊戴潤齋舊藏的佛像2011年在紐約戴潤齋的專場（Informing the Eye of the Collector: Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art from J.T. Tai & Co. / 拍品 276）中以17500美金售出，折合人民幣12.75萬。
2018年5月30日，這尊佛像又以港元 1,062,500的價格在香港佳士得專場（现场拍卖 16265 正观自在 — 佛教艺术精品）售出。
A statue of Buddha from the old collection of J.T.Tai was sold for US$17,500, equivalent to RMB 127,500, in 2011 at the J.T.Tai sale in New York (Informing the Eye of the Collector: Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art from J.T. Tai & Co. / lot 276).
On 30 May 2018, the statue was sold again at Christie's Hong Kong for HK$1,062,500 (Live Auction 16265 Fine Buddhist Art).

這是藝術品7年黃金期跨市場套利的經典教科書案例。在同個專場中，也有至今都無法售出的案例，比如一件標為北魏或以後風格的佛首，在2011年售出後被大規模”整容“，修復了雙眼、鼻梁、左耳、嘴唇等多處。
這種迷惑行為不僅是對藝術品歷史的不尊重，也嚴重影響了其市場流通性。
This is a classic textbook example of cross-market arbitrage during the seven-year golden period for artworks. In the same 2011 J.T.Tai sale in New York, there are also cases that have not been sold to date, such as a Buddha head labelled as being in the Northern Wei or later style, which was sold in 2011 and then given a massive ‘face-lift’, with repairs to the eyes, bridge of the nose, left ear, lips and other parts of the body.
Such confusing behaviour is not only disrespectful to the history of the artwork, but also seriously affects its marketability.

這件作品在2011年的時候的原始圖片顯示，其鼻梁、嘴唇上方疑似有修復。
仔細觀察，應該連雙眼都做過調整，動機不僅令人好奇。
這件頭像的右耳，也做出了修補，這個似乎是毫無必要的舉動，再為這件頭像的修復動機增加了謎團。
