這件四面佛在展出的時候並不顯眼，體量較小，背部的細節若不上手看不到。黃花石是長安一代在北周時代常有採用的石頭，這件四面佛的風格高古，開臉飽滿刀法拙樸，有北周之風。

Huanghua stone was often used in Chang'an during the Northern Zhou Dynasty, and this four-faced Buddha is of an interesting form of artistic display, probably dating as early as the Northern Zhou dynasty.
