For people in Hong Kong, the name of Au Bakling is familiar, but for people in other regions, the name is unfamiliar, so it is very appropriate for this exhibition to be held in Hong Kong, and if it is put up for auction collectively in 2019, the result will definitely be better than now, but against the trend, the launch of such a wonderful collection is also a booster for the market. I believe that the amount of money in the auction is no longer the most important thing to this collector's family, but if it can help the Chinese art market as a whole, it seems to add more important colours to the sense of mission of this wonderful sequence.

Among them is a very striking piece of Song dynasty porcelain, which will be briefly introduced in this article. This piece of Longquan kiln wares has a well-ordered inheritance, and aesthetically it is also very educational, because it breaks the rumour that ‘Longquan kiln open piece is not high grade’ that some traders believe.

The aesthetic appreciation of this object should start from the aesthetics of the Southern Song imperial kilns. The reason is that similar works of the Southern Song imperial kilns are basically aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and there is a category of works from the Longquan kilns that pay homage to those of the imperial kilns, which is the case with this example. Estimate HK$1,000,000-1,500,000, auction date 26 September 2024, Hong Kong.

Unsurprisingly, this piece will sell for several times its estimate. Longquan kilns have always been known for their large quantities, and every time a fine work of art fetches a high price, it creates a beautiful dream for the collectors of longquan works. However, the fact is still cruel, the identification of fine works of Longquan kiln is the most obvious obstacle, top collectors should be from the hands of heirloom works of art to find the mystery.
