The fact that this piece was acquired by Mayuyama Ryusendo is also indicative of the current aesthetic interest and future potential of this type of object, including the enthusiasm of international buyers. This is undoubtedly a category with an international market.

Goro Sakamoto has a deep understanding of the three colours (sancai) and is highly sophisticated in the aesthetics and rarity of his selections. This is the display of unique experience and skills of a famous 20th century dealer in the era when Chinese Earlier Wares were prevalent. The proportions of the form are exceptional, with the upper part of the vase decorated with a huge baoxiang flower, the base is proportionally smaller than usual, giving the overall form a sharp and tense appearance.

Although there is some loss of glossiness on one side of the glaze, and the cover may be non-original, the rarity of the bottle and the overall aesthetic quality of the bottle do not detract from its ultimate value.
